Ponderous Pond

Oftentimes I wonder,
Will we meet again?
Or at best be passersby
In dreamscape exclusivity.

No one left, but no one right.
Those I want to reach,
Their hearts sealed tight,
Mourn alone, love's impeach.

Names from the past, a list.
A gist of lonely, one sided trysts.
Fascinations lost in a naïve mist.
Machinations, a subdued, unfurled fist.

Will we ever meet? I ponder.
And perhaps you sit elsewhere,
Dance elsewhere, sleep elsewhere,
Wondering the same thing.
